Do I need to know about wine to visit?
Not at all. That is the whole idea. Tell us what you usually enjoy and we will help you find something you love, no pressure and no lecture. If you'd like to learn more, just ask, we're here for you and happy to answer whatever you're curious about.
Do I need a reservation for a tasting?
Reservations are recommended and can be easily booked online. Please use the reservation page and you will be well on your way to an amazing experience. Walk-ins are also welcome when space allows.
What are your hours?
We are open seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Are you dog friendly?
Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the patio. For a quieter visit, weekdays tend to be calmer.
Do you serve food?
Yes. We offer four wood-fired pizzas, a charcuterie board of local Niagara meats and cheeses, focaccia, and a burrata bowl, in the tasting room or on the patio.
Where are you located?
769 Niagara Stone Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
Do you ship wine?
We ship within Canada, though we pause long-distance shipping during the coldest stretches of winter. We are not currently shipping to the US with all the tariffs and such going on. Local pickup is available for wine club members.
Can you host a large group?
Yes. If there are eight or more of you, give us a call or email reservations@theharewineco.com and we'll take it from there.
Do you make Icewine?
Yes. We make Vidal and Cabernet Franc Icewine. Ask our team when you're here and we'll share how this special nectar is made.
Do you have gift cards?
Yes, virtual gift cards are available at the winery and on our website.
What is the wine club?
Think of it as your standing invitation to The Hare. Members receive quarterly releases of our small-batch wines, delivered right to your door, along with member pricing and complimentary tastings whenever you visit. There are a few different tiers to choose from, and you can customize, skip, or pause anytime, whatever fits your life best. Take a look at our wine club options to find the one that's right for you.
Do you host weddings and corporate events?
Yes. We host weddings and corporate gatherings with exclusive use of the property. Visit our Weddings and Corporate pages, or enquire for details.
